animals/brolga_year_month.csv counts brolga sightings by year and month, 1770 to 2026. Three columns, year, month and n. One row has no year or month.

Unzip it so you end up with a data/ folder next to your R scripts.

The ABS data is released under CC BY 4.0. The raw/ files were deliberately messed up for teaching, so they are not what the ABS published. Use tidy/ or the spreadsheet for anything real.
